Hi, I'm Rose (not really) and I love a lot of stuff. I combine my love of sewing, history, math, and programming into one big project - RosyTales.
During my sewing journey, I found it very hard to start sewing vintage. The resources online were too far from actual history. So I learned how to draft from old tailoring books, and then I thought: why am I doing this on the floor? A computer could do that! I dive into old dressmaking books and generate a pattern based on the drafting instructions, thus making the whole process of vintage sewing easier.
My patterns have very little processing from the originals, making them more "historically accurate" (though there isn't really such a thing as true historical accuracy), and I strive to get as close to history as possible.
The point of this website is to put everything I make in one place. I hope it can be a helpful resource for anyone interested in vintage sewing. I believe in providing free resources, so you won't find any paywalls or sign-up requirements unless it's absolutely necessary.
That being said, have fun! Also, you are very welcome to ask me anything in the pattern comments :)
More features and patterns coming soon!
